Okay ... please bear with me on this long rant...
Basically, I hate Google. Or should I say, Google hates me! I had a great campaign in the freebies/giveway niche. It ran great for months, then all of a sudden every keyword in every adgroup was slapped. I went from quality scores from on average 8/10 to 1/10 overnight. Which I can't figure out why because I have a highly relevant landing page and I use LPGen. Anyway, I bought a new domain, created a new campaign and everything went fine. Great quality scores, smooth sailing. For a couple weeks. Then I got slapped again. I repeated this process a couple more times. New domain, used LPGen, new Adwords account. Each time I did this it would work out great for a few days or a couple weeks until it finally was slapped again. So last week I decided to try one more time. 5th site. This time I did the whole "silo site" thing that Gauher from PPC Formula suggests. Ran on landing pages to LPGen. Seemed to work like magic, most keywords were 10/10. I think my lowest QS was 8/10. Anyway, it ran great for 5 days ... then guess what ... all of a sudden every keyword in the campaign is slapped with a 1/10 QS and my keywords aren't showing. I'm really frustrated since I've made the "unslappable" silo site on a new domain, on a new Google account. My site is extremely relevant for all my keywords. I'm not bidding on anything objectionable, like trademarks, etc. This campaign was making about $3,000 net for me a month (when it's wasn't slapped). I didn't even get a chance to "ramp it up" yet, so it could make much more. I need to find a way to get around these slaps! Is it possible Google knows that I own different Adwords accounts and that I'm having a human editor killing my campaigns? Sorry for the long rant ... I just have to find a way to get this campaign running on Google for more than a few days at a time. Please help if you can! Thanks, Cathy P.S. I did run this on Yahoo and MSN but there's hardly any traffic in comparison to Google and it also doesn't convert as well. |
